Did a pre booking hence got discount of 10%(400/- per person). We were 5 members and were lucky to get a independent boat, if not private boat comes up to 3.5k. 1, Harbour: You will see fishing boats 2, Mangrove: Thought the forest is not that dence as compared to Pitchaivanam, still it's worth 3, Trade centre: Here you need to get down from the boat and take a walk to visit the ruins of legacy international trade centre. Since we went in the afternoon, didn't feel like taking a walk 4, River mouth : Marry point of river and Bay and Bengal sea. Boats done have permission to take visitors into the see but still they take you close enough where you can see clearly waves hitting the shore(sea) and a shore with no waves(river). At this point the boatman will show his talent of turning the boat left/right etc... which sometimes make you feel scared but it's very nice. Entire ride will be for 40-50 min. If you enjoy traveling in speedboat, please give it a try. Thought you might not like all the spots still the ride is with it ~ Mohamed A
